You’re right. I was out of line there. I made a commitment, early on, to try and not hurt anybody’s feelings. I had no intentions of pissing off Yonit, really. When you get down to it she’s the one who stepped up and volunteered to do an admirable thing, to devote lots of her time to edcom. All of SC deserves credit for devoting much of their time towards Harvard Hillel. That having been said, just like I think that it’s absurd that we have a voter drive when everyone’s automatically registered, I also think that EdCom has been fairly inactive. I think that’s a fair criticism.

Perhaps the problem with Kosher sex was that it wasn’t kosher ENOUGH. Maybe we should have got this guy, TLR’s John Diggs. Why can’t we just change the by-laws when no one is looking? Would anybody care? Konstantin–maybe, like the previous post said, you should just seize power, declare a military Hillel, and change the constitution? A Hillel revolution? A coup? Viva la’ Revolution!

Agreed. It’s moronic. But it’s in the most recent amendment to the by-laws, which, as we know, are notoriously difficult to amend.

The main point is probably to make people aware of the upcoming elections and take some proactive role in the Hillel political process. It’s also useful for people who aren’t on hillel-undergrad, which is why we’ve been asking recipients to forward it. But it’s all kind of hopeless, anyway.
